    The Westin Excelsior Florence Hotel is located on the banks of the Arno river. When we were on vacation in Florence, we passed the hotel on our way to Ponte Vecchio (600 m). It is a luxury 5 star accommodation and belongs to the hotel chain Starwood.

    To get an idea of the rates at February 12, 2007:
    Hotel providers Venere.com and Expedia.com ask both €290 for a Double Deluxe Room.

    If you book directly at the official Westin hotel website, the price is €250 ('Best Available Rate'). Some other advantages are: more choice of hotel rooms and Special Offers.
