Hotel delle Nazioni is located behind the Central Station in the same street as Hotel Ducale and Ambasciatori.
The stair to the side entrance of the station is 100 metres away.
Near the side entrance is a post office and small supermarket.
There is an official Tourist Information Office 300 metres from the hotel, at the Piazza della Stazione.
To the Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi is about 1.5 km (20 minutes walk).

The hotel is on a busy traffic road and frankly, it does not look very well on the outside.
The inside however is modern and reasonable.
The reception is in front of the entrance. All staff is friendly and helpful.
You have to give them your electronic keycard when you leave the hotel.
Behind the reception is a lounge with sofas, tables, bar and 5 computers with free internet access.
The computers were often available when we stayed in the hotel.
In the hotel stay people from all ages: mainly couples and families.
breakfast room
Next the lounge is a large and very clean breakfast room. Breakfast starts at 7.00.
Two coffee/chocolate machines are in the corner with milk and juice.
In the middle of the area is a buffet.
Fresh croissants, tosti's, ham, cheese, marmelade, scrambled eggs and bacon and some fruit.
There are also 3 tables in a small court-yard.
Staff is cleaning the tables.
room facilities
Our rooms were basic furnished. Carpet had several large stains. It was not dirty but we used our slippers to walk in the room.
The mattresses of our beds were soft, simple but thick enough to have a good sleep.
Bathroom was quite large but simple. The shower was basic but worked excellent.
We had no trouble with traffic noise or from other guests.
We experienced during our vacation in Italy that many hotel rooms have problems with the airco.
The airco in our room was okay but there is no individual control.
room rates
We booked online through www.Otel.com two standard roooms for 3 nights. At that moment, the room rate was 75 Euro per night. Price difference with wwww.hotelclub.net was 50 Euro per night per room (!). So, it is sensible to compare some websites before you book.
